The RockDove story began in 2002, when we were a beachside workshop in Santa Monica, California, resoling hiking boots for the adventurous members of the Los Angeles Audubon Society. Over time, our customers began requesting quality indoor shoes to soothe their high-mileage, trail-weary feet.

In response, we handmade our first slippers, using a low-cut boot last and incorporating materials such as mattress memory foam, gel insoles, and anti-shock cushioning from hiking boots. The overwhelmingly positive response to our "little experiment" inspired us to continue refining and perfecting our slipper designs.

Today, our legacy of creating footwear for the most exhausted, adventure-weary feet lives on. We believe that everyone's version of adventure happens every single day, and our mission is to provide a sanctuary of comfort for those who are on their feet all day – from teachers and nurses to postal workers and beyond.

At the heart of each RockDove slipper is a multilayered foam construction, meticulously engineered to strike the perfect "sweet spot" of comfort. This includes a 40-70D memory foam pressure-mapped to the plantar aspect, a support foam for added firmness, and an anti-shock EVA layer, all working in harmony to provide unparalleled cushioning and support.
