Lightweight Closed Back Chenille Slippers for Women

Inspired by the carefree spirit of our SoCal roots, RockDove slippers are designed to feel like a vacation for your feet. Crafted with synthetic uppers (unless stated otherwise) and either rubber or EVA soles, our footwear is made without the use of any animal parts.

At the heart of each pair is RockDove's triple-layer insole, maximizing comfort through a meticulously engineered blend of high-density memory foam, support foam, and anti-shock EVA. This "sweet spot" comfort level was achieved after years of obsessive tweaking, drawing on expertise from local sleep specialists.

RockDove's story begins in 2002 at a beachside workshop in Santa Monica, California, where we originally repaired hiking boots for avid adventurers of the Los Angeles Audubon Society. As their trusted local cobbler, we learned firsthand the needs of those with trail-weary feet. Eventually, these customers requested something we didn't yet offer - quality indoor shoes to soothe their sore soles.

So for Christmas that year, we handmade five pairs of slippers using a low-cut boot last. The response was overwhelming, with 350 mail orders pouring in after we mentioned this "little experiment" in a newsletter. Thus, the RockDove slipper was born, named after the humble rock dove (pigeon) that frequents the Santa Monica Pier.

Today, our legacy of creating footwear for the most exhausted, adventure-worn feet lives on. But we recognize that adventure takes many forms - it's not just hanging off a mountainside, but the daily grind faced by teachers, chefs, nurses, and more. RockDove slippers are designed to provide comfort and relief for anyone who spends long hours on their feet.

Staying true to our outdoor-loving roots, every pair of RockDove slippers is equipped with an indoor-outdoor sole. Made of the same natural rubber used in trail running shoes, these soles allow you to venture from the living room to the mailbox without having to switch footwear. We've also incorporated an anti-shock EVA layer to cushion against unexpected obstacles, be it Legos or driveway pebbles.

And because these slippers are built for active lifestyles, they're also machine washable. Simply toss them in the wash on a gentle cycle, then air or line dry, and they'll emerge looking fresh and new.

RockDove may have started as a beachside workshop, but our American-made products are now enjoyed by customers nationwide who seek the comfort and quality of a brand rooted in the carefree spirit of Southern California.
